Artist

Yang Yunshu is an artist and illustrator from Chongqing, China. She began studying Visual Communication Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Urban Design in 2020. After graduating in 2024, she continued her studies as a postgraduate student at the university’s School of Design.

Her award-winning work, The Cycle of Becoming, is a 102-page panoramic illustrated book created over eight months. Divided into five chapters, the work blends imagery inspired by Han dynasty iconography and Dunhuang murals to explore transformation, spiritual growth and the recurring cycle of life. The original work has been collected by the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum.
