Mystery Matrix is a small, independent puzzle business based in Queensland, Australia. What started as a personal love for puzzling has grown into a space dedicated to thoughtfully selected jigsaw puzzles that value quality, creativity, and the experience of putting each piece together.
Rather than following trends or mass-market styles, we focus on bringing distinctive, well-crafted puzzles into Australia—many of which aren’t widely available locally. Every puzzle we offer is chosen for its design, finish, and how enjoyable it is to puzzle, so fellow puzzlers can discover something a little more special each time.

Every puzzle in our collection is thoughtfully chosen with a focus on artwork, quality, and the overall puzzling experience. Before any brand is introduced to our store, each puzzle is personally tested by me, along with a small group of dedicated puzzlers, to ensure it meets our standards for both feel and fit.
We partner with carefully selected international brands, many of which are not commonly available in Australia. This allows us to offer puzzles that feel special, distinctive, and different from what you’ll typically find in mainstream stores.

All puzzles sold at Mystery Matrix are legally imported and distributed within Australia and New Zealand. We work directly with our brand partners under formal distribution or enterprise agreements, which authorise us to sell their products in the AU & NZ region.
Each collection is pre-purchased by us and shipped to Australia in bulk, going through full customs clearance and compliance checks before arriving at our Brisbane warehouse. This ensures that every puzzle on our website is legitimately sourced, properly imported, and legally distributed by Mystery Matrix.
Are the artwork and illustrations on your puzzles licensed?

Yes. All artwork and illustrations featured on our puzzles are fully licensed and used with permission from the artists or brand owners. We work directly with our brand partners to ensure every design is authentic, properly licensed, and ethically produced.
This means when you purchase from Mystery Matrix, you’re supporting original artwork and the creators behind it, with the confidence that every puzzle is sourced responsibly.

We take pride in the quality of our puzzles and want you to enjoy every piece of the experience. If your puzzle arrives with a missing or damaged piece, we’re here to help.
Simply email us at info@mysterymatrix.com.au with a photo of your puzzle, and we’ll arrange a replacement as quickly as possible. Our goal is to make sure you can complete and enjoy your puzzle just as it was meant to be.

We’re only able to provide replacements or resolve issues for puzzles purchased directly from Mystery Matrix, or from authorised retailers that we officially supply. This allows us to accurately verify the product and ensure proper support.
If you’re unsure whether your puzzle was purchased from one of our authorised retailers, you can check our stockist list, or feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help point you in the right direction.

We regularly place new stock orders every 3–6 weeks to help keep our collection refreshed. If a puzzle you love is currently out of stock, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to let you know the estimated time of arrival, if one is available.
Please note that some of our puzzles are produced in limited editions or small batches, and once they sell out, they may not be restocked. If you see a puzzle you love, we recommend purchasing it while it’s available to avoid missing out.

All puzzles sold on our website are stocked locally in our Brisbane, Queensland warehouse. Once your order is placed, it is dispatched directly from our local warehouse, ensuring faster delivery without the long wait times of overseas shipping.

At the moment, Mystery Matrix operates as an online store only. This allows us to focus on curating a wider range of unique, high-quality puzzles and delivering them directly to puzzlers across Australia.

No. All of our puzzles are precision-cut to ensure a secure and satisfying fit, regardless of texture or finish. Once completed, the puzzle holds together well and can be lifted or framed without the need for glue or additional support.

No. The brands we select use high-quality materials and carefully controlled finishing processes that do not create excessive puzzle dust. Textured finishes such as Velvet (Flocked), Embossed, and Glint Glitter are professionally applied and sealed to ensure a clean and enjoyable puzzling experience.
You may notice a small amount of paper dust when opening a new puzzle, which is normal for most jigsaw puzzles regardless of finish. However, the texture or finish itself does not cause additional shedding, loose glitter, or residue during use.
All puzzles from the brands we select are designed to feel satisfying to handle while remaining clean, durable, and comfortable to puzzle.

Shipping times vary depending on your location. Because all stock is held locally in Australia, you won’t need to wait weeks for overseas delivery.

Mystery Matrix operates as an online business and does not have a public shopfront or warehouse access. However, local pickup may be available in certain cases. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for more information.

If you notice an issue with your order, please email us as soon as possible. We’re happy to help if the order hasn’t yet been dispatched. Once an order has been dispatched, we’re unfortunately unable to make changes.

In some cases, yes. We occasionally receive enquiries from customers who have seen a puzzle from one of the brands we stock but it isn’t currently available on our website. Where possible, we may be able to arrange a special pre-order, with an estimated waiting time of 3–8 weeks.

If an item is out of stock, you can enter your email address in the “Notify me when back in stock” field on the product page. You’ll receive an email as soon as the item becomes available again.

A Mystery Matrix Live Order is a special checkout option used only during our Mystery Matrix Live events on Instagram or TikTok. It allows customers who have been allocated a puzzle during the live stream to complete their purchase online.

The Live Order product is only for customers who have been allocated a puzzle by the host during a live stream.
Please do not purchase unless you have been allocated a puzzle live.

When a puzzle is shown during the live stream, the host will explain how to claim it. To claim, simply type the requested word or code in the comments. Claims are processed in the order they appear on the host’s screen, and the first valid comment will be allocated the puzzle.
If your claim is successful, the host will confirm it live and provide you with a puzzle number to enter when placing your order.

Orders placed without a valid live allocation cannot be processed and may be cancelled.
