Chair - Tactile Velvet Jigsaw Puzzle

Chair explores identity, emotion and self-perception through a quiet yet thought-provoking composition. A simple wooden chair sits facing a standing mirror, its form repeated and transformed across different colour fields. What appears ordinary at first becomes symbolic — the chair acting as a stand-in for presence, absence and the shifting states of the self.

The artwork uses minimal linework and bold colour blocks to examine how the same object can take on different emotional meanings. Soft pastels, deep reds, muted blues and warm yellows suggest contrasting inner states — calm, tension, isolation and productivity.
